Brooks Cascadia Elite: A new technical proposition for long distances
Brooks' trail range is enriched by a new high-performance model: the Cascadia Elite. Designed to meet the demands of long, technical races, this shoe incorporates a number of new technologies for the brand, aimed at optimizing propulsion and stability. This development, validated by athletes on the world circuit, positions the Cascadia Elite among the outstanding products nominated for this year's Trail Running Awards.
Integrating propulsion and responsiveness technologies
The main objective in developing the Cascadia Elite was to provide a shoe capable of maximizing performance on all types of terrain and over time. To achieve this, Brooks has introduced materials that characterize high-level competition into its trail range:
DNA Gold PEBA foam: Introduced for the first time to the Brooks trail range, this foam is designed to offer optimized energy return and responsiveness, particularly over long distances.
Carbon plate: The shoe incorporates a carbon-enriched Pebax SpeedVault+ Trail plate. Its role is to provide maximum propulsion and a more dynamic stride, essential for both uphill and downhill performance.
Grip and hold in extreme conditions
The Cascadia Elite was designed to be a complete tool capable of guaranteeing traction and stability, two crucial factors on technical courses:
Advanced traction: The outsole features Vibram® Megagrip Elite rubber, renowned for its grip on a variety of surfaces (rocks, mud, technical trails).
Precise support: The upper is constructed in a lightweight, durable "sock-like" silhouette. This design is intended to guarantee precise, comfortable foot support over time, an essential element in preventing fatigue and ensuring stability.

Field validation and competition results
The launch of the Cascadia Elite was marked by an intensive public test phase.
Presented exclusively at the UTMB 2025, the shoe was immediately put to the test by the Brooks team of athletes. The results are an indication of its potential: in its first season of use, the Cascadia Elite contributed to 11 gold medals and a further 26 podiums on the international circuit (including the Golden Trail Series).
The launch also included activations (tests open to the public and media tests) designed to gather initial user feedback and demonstrate its versatility in real-life conditions.
